International Collaborations

International collaboration is at the heart of our work. We have particularly strong links with China through the Australia–China Environmental Biogeochemistry Forum (ACEBF) and joint projects with Huazhong Agricultural University and other Chinese institutions. Together we explore cross-continental questions about biogeochemical cycles, soil health, pollution, ecosystem resilience and sustainable agriculture under changing climates.

Beyond China, we collaborate with partners in the Philippines, Bangladesh and other countries through ACIAR-funded programs and related initiatives. These collaborations allow us to work in diverse agro-ecological and socio-economic settings, from smallholder farming systems to large commercial operations. They also provide opportunities for joint training of students, staff exchanges and co-supervision, helping to build a new generation of researchers who are comfortable working across borders and disciplines.
